Meet Bill, from the Cecil community. Bill has worked for CHS Larsen Co-op for a year. He is an agronomy salesman, whom came with 10 years of agronomy experience. Before working in the ag industry, he attended Fox Valley Technical College. He enjoys working with growers to improve their operations. He loves to get out and walk fields with customers. Bill wanted to transition to CHS because it was a new cooperative to work for, but he was able to continue to work with the farmers he enjoys working with in his community.

In Bill’s free time he enjoys spending time with his family at their cabin, cooking sap/maple syrup, hunting, shooting and ice fishing. Something interesting about him is that he has two kids, a daughter and a son and his family has been in their new house for just over a year.

Hang in there, Farmers!

Meet Kyle, who has worked for the co-op for 17 years. He is originally from Beaver Dam where he grew up on a small dairy farm. Now he lives near Poy Sippi, with his wife Jen, who grew up on the Ed Walter Farm in Larsen. They have a son, Ty, who will be five in October. He started out at the co-op by soil sampling part-time while he was attending FVTC in Appleton. Now, he is one of our Custom Applicators. He takes care of the chemical building during the off-season. He fills bulk chemical totes in the spring as well as helps spread fertilizer and drives semi, as needed.

Kyle’s favorite thing to do is spray fields. He enjoys being out in the countryside seeing different kinds of wildlife and unique treasures hidden away in the fence lines. He also enjoys meeting with the farmers when they are around. He likes the diversity of the jobs as they change with the season. He never feels bored as there is always something happening to keep busy.

Some of Kyle’s hobbies include shooting trap and snowmobiling, as well as going down to Beaver Dam to help his dad and brother on their 1,900 acre grain farm. Something interesting about Kyle is their family farm started in 1849 and his brother and he are the eighth generation of Krenz’s on the farm.
